Azury Lin
  • Jasmine spearheads the overall development and business strategies for re+connect. A hybrid sustainability specialist and social entrepreneur, she brings together over a decade of academic and professional experiences in environmental management, community development, disaster resilience, and digital development. She integrates data analytics, humanity-centered design, and system thinking to co-create sustainable and just solutions with stakeholders based on empathy and an enriched understanding of social and natural systems.

    She has extended experience living, studying, and working in over 40 different countries and connecting with a wide range of communities. She speaks Chinese, English, Portuguese, and Spanish. She has earned a Master of Science in Engineering and Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University, and a BA in Environmental Science with a minor in Economics from Colby College. Jasmine is an avid violinist, dancer, and traveler, and will try anything at least twice.

  • Azury heads product development and design strategy for re+connect. She is a multidisciplinary designer specializing in UI and UX design for emerging technology through cross-disciplinary collaboration. As a product designer and strategist, she practices design thinking methodologies and a system thinking approach to help early-stage startups develop a holistic vision – from product management to marketing strategy to UI/UX design – to ensure that integrity is built into the company's DNA.

    Azury merges business, analytical skills, and design expertise to address the social dimension of sustainability challenges and advocate for social equity and inclusive design for vulnerable demographics. Her integrated knowledge, systemic approach, and tenacity in solving social challenges have played a key in delivering human-centered solutions in the fast-paced startup business. Azury received a BFA in Product Design from Parsons School of Design and a Master of Science from the Integrated Design and Management program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Pamela C. Silva Díaz

  • Pamela Cristina Silva Díaz leads the collaborative design strategy and facilitation for re+connect. She is a mechanical engineer, determined to develop technology that addresses social and environmental challenges affecting vulnerable populations. Through her community-based design work, she facilitates grass-roots innovation processes that aim to strengthen resilience, support livelihoods, and adapt in the face of climate change. Pamela blends strategic design facilitation with engineering expertise, in order to co-create appropriate solutions with different stakeholders.

    Pamela completed her bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2012 and obtained her Master of Science in the same field at the University of Michigan in 2014. She has experience in engineering analysis, disaster response, community resilience, design of low-cost technology, and community-based innovation. She now leads participatory product design projects with local non-profit organizations and university partners both locally and internationally. Pamela loves dancing salsa and bomba, as well as playing the barril (traditional bomba drum).

Natalia Arcila

  • Natalia Arcila manages strategic communications and coordination with stakeholders at re+connect. She combines sensible and inclusive communication strategies to effectively and meaningfully connect with diverse groups. Natalia also draws from first-hand experiences in disaster response and relief efforts to engage meaningfully and empathically with communities. With a background in sustainability and environmental science, she recognizes the importance of fostering collaboration in a healthy, brave, and creative environment. This understanding provides an emotional and moral connection to her work and empowers and drives her dedication to operate in the best interest of the communities she belongs to.

    Natalia received a Master of Science in Environmental Studies and Sustainability from Unity College and a BS in Biology with a minor in Foreign Languages (Italian & German). She grew up mountain hiking, waterfall seeking, and ocean diving, and is passionate about creating food experiences, biophilic design, and environmental justice.
